The original Apple Baker

Original Apple Bakers are fun and easy to use. Just core an apple, put it on the post, bathe with one teaspoon each butter and water, garnish with raisins, nuts, honey, maple syrup, sweet spices or anything festive. Preheat oven to 350F, then bake 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the size of apple. The clay will take on the heat and cook from the inside out.

Original Apple Bakers are also attractive serving dishes and will help keep your apples warm longer. Our improved-design bakers can now be stacked rim-to-rim, bottom-to-bottom for space-saving convenience.

Microwave Instructions: Prepare apples as above and cook on high for 1.5 to 3 minutes.

The Bakato

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Scrub carefully and remove any eyes from one medium or two small potatoes. Center over Bakato cooking spikes and press down firmly with heel of hand, until potato rests on bottom of dish. (Though not absolutely necessary, you may find it convenient to start holes with a knife point.) Place Bakato in preheated oven and set timer for 50 minutes. Remove carefully from oven and slice potato in half lengthwise. Fluff potato with a fork and apply spoonfuls of desired topping. Return to 400 degree oven for another 5-10 minutes. Garnish and serve!

NOTE: When serving, it's a good idea to place the hot Bakato dish on a place mat or small plate, to protect tabletop surfaces.

Microwave Instructions:

The Bakato is perfect for microwave use. You can cook a medium-sized potato in just 6 minutes. Add toppings from the stove or fridge during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Remove carefully, as the potato will heat the dish itself.

The Cupper Carafe

Place Cupper Carafe onto coffee maker hot plate (spout straight in) and brew coffee according to your experience or the coffee maker’s instructions. Tight fit? Swing filter basket out, place Carafe on hot plate, return basket to brewing position. Coffee makers with ‘Automatic Pause Serve’ feature will require disabling drip stop when using our Carafe. Simply remove the tiny rubber stopper from the rocker arm on the underside of the filter cone, replace cone and brew as usual. After brewing, remove filter basket and put lid on Carafe to hold in heat. Place your thumb on lid when pouring. A thin smear of shortening or wax on the pour spout rim will eliminate drips.

Our Carafe can be safely used in any microwave oven for reheating. Fits the 12 cup coffe makers: Krups ®, Braun ®, Melitta ®, Mr. Coffee ®, Bunn ®, Proctor Silex ®, Black & Decker ®, Norelco ®, West Bend ®, et al.

Cleaning Carafe:

Wash by hand or in dishwasher. For hard to remove stains use baking soda and a plastic mesh pad. Care should be taken not to boil coffee dry in carafe. However, if this does happen, cool the carafe to room temperature, clean out coffee residue and use again. Glaze is lead free.

Kent, Washington

4 Apples (cored)

1/2 Cup Sugar

2 Tablespoons flour

1 and 1/2 Teaspoons cinnamon

1/4 Cup melted butter

1/3 Cup chopped walnuts

Core apples and peel (optional). Combine sugar, flour & cinnamon, mix well. Roll apples in melted butter then in sugar mixture. Put on post of Apple Baker™. Put on the nuts and add water. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.

The flour in this recipe turns the juice into a caramel. We use Rome Beauty apples, but most any apple will do.
